New Era x Buff State Design-a-thon

I was one of six graphic designers selected to compete in the 2025 New Era x Buffalo State Design-a-thon, where we were challenged to create an avant-garde work of art.

My group and I created “Blueprint,” which is a tribute to New Era’s past, present, and future. We were inspired by the blueprint the company has built for itself, being the foundation of hat culture and setting the standard for sports and lifestyle apparel.

“This is the Cap” was seen throughout New Era’s headquarters, so we chose to incorporate it into our art piece since we felt it was crucial to the brands identity.

The right leg features baseball stripes and home plates, symbolizing the brand’s origin and their ties to professional sports.

The left leg showcases a limestone texture inspired by the Federal Reserve building, where New Era relocated in 2006. We wanted to symbolize both strength and growth, the breakage in the stone represents breaking new ground as New Era continues to pursue future expansion.
